Would it be easier to find a partner if we let others decide for us? And is finding love more about breaking your expectations and those of society than the existence of “the one”? Match me! questions the traditional dating culture and introduces three single people searching for a partner in three alternative ways.

The Finn, Sampsa, has one marriage and divorce behind him when he decides to take part in a dating event by Lover’s Matchmaking Agency to find out what he really wants from life. The Austrian, Sarah, is looking for someone who will understand her yoga hobby. She travels to Italy to allow the leader of an international yoga community to pair her with a partner. Lastly, the German, Johanna, wants to widen her perspectives on love and takes part in an Irish dating festival.

The film allows the viewer to be a part of their dates while sharing three different views on love. The open contemplations of the main characters concerning love invite the viewer to question their own preconceptions and to think about whether falling in love is only dependent on what is inside one’s head.
